In the late 1960s' Robert Priddy was instrumental in introducing the psychological and psychiatric researches of Dr. R.D. Laing to the Norwegian public. He wrote an article in the journal 'Kontrast' which received wide attention within the mental health/psychiatic profession and awakened much controversy. He followed up with two very long articles in the same journal. The first of these is shown here in its entirety.

Subsequently he wrote the foreword to the translation of the first of R.D. Laing's books into Norwegian 'The Divided Self' ('Det Spaltede Selv')
